Project Desolation Progress

Spent the vast majority of the day polishing mechanics for my upcoming Unity project 'Project Desolation.

The game is a loose remake of my game 'Five Nights at Blue Thing' that was launched on Gamejolt in early 2015.

The mechanic in question does the following.

  • Grants the player access to a secondary 'maintenance' panel if the corresponding button is pressed.
  • Players can turn the building power off (setting power usage to absolute zero). However this can only be done if doors, lights and camera have been de-activated thus making the player incredibly vulnerable.
  • Player can see the time in a 00:00:00 format and see long the night is set to last to the nearest second
  • Players can 'syphon' power from 5 auxiliary batteries if they are due to run out of power, but all five batteries must last all five nights so turning the power off in the earlier nights and keeping it on as the nights progress is advised.

Player has opened the panel and options relating to power management are made available.

The player has cut the building power. The office has faded to black and the doors, lights & camera can no longer be powered unless the power is restored.
